Vidhva Sahay Yojana Gujarat (વિધવા સહાય યોજના ગુજરાત):
The Widow Assistance Program was launched by the Gujarat Department of Women and Children Development at the Government of Gujarat with the aim of providing financial assistance to poor widows to live a dignified life in the community. Widowed sisters will benefit from this program even if they have a son over 21 years of age. The Widow Assistance Program is run by the State of Gujarat and in partnership with the Central Government and the Gujarat Region as "Indira Gandhi National Wind.
Terms of eligibility for Vidhva Sahay Yojana
- The benefit of Vidhva Sahay Yojana is given according to the following method.
- Any needy widow 18 years or older will have the right to receive her assistance until death.
- Under the National Social Security Program (NSAP), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, BPL beneficiaries under the Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, widows over the age of 40 are eligible for the benefits of this program.
- Beneficiaries under Gujarat Government's Niradhar Widow Pension Scheme (DWPS) program who are between the ages of 18 and 30 and who do not have a BPL for more than 40 years are eligible for the program.
- The government has provided a grant of 1,20,000 (twenty thousand) annual family income at the village level and 1,50,000 (one thousand and fifty) for the urban area to receive the assistance of a widow (Ganga Swarupa financially).
